Mountains and Seas Pen Holder
This pen holder's design draws inspiration from multiple classics of Chinese traditional culture. The main body resembles a Chinese drum, with the drum surface featuring an animal face pattern, revealing a Han Dynasty dragon pattern below. The drum body is engraved with patterns of gold inlaid with silver from the Warring States period. The base below consists of two Tang Dynasty dragons emerging from the waves, which converge behind to encircle a mountain peak.
"Mountains and Seas" certainly embodies the unique and long history of the Chinese people, including our reverence for nature and boundless imagination. Thus, in this pen holder, I have blended various romantic, classical elements of Chinese history that I cherish. I am fascinated by the mysterious totems and symbols of Chinese civilization—this work features mountains and seas, dragons and beasts. Though small, the pen holder showcases these great cultural aspects. I look forward to using this work to interpret the common pursuit I share with the Xencelabs brand: to create the extraordinary, making each pen stroke divine.
