Wandering Dragon Seeking Dreams

The agile and lively dragon is always in search of the Dragon Crystal in its heart. And the crystal, too, is somewhere awaiting the dragon's descent. In the moment of their meeting, they spark a resonance from deep within each other. This is the moment that artist Zhelong Xu wants to express, which signifies the wonderful unity of the realm of heaven and man. Just as he holds the digital pen in his hand and releases and visualizes his inner creativity in the virtual world on the Xencelabs pen display screen.

The shape of the dragon is inspired by the legend of the Tang Dynasty's Red Gold Walking Dragon. The Tang dragon has long and powerful legs and elegant proportions. In reinterpreting this ancient image, artist Zhelong Xu blends classical decorative style with modern westernized realistic features -overall decorative stylewith realistic details. The flowing curves of the dragon's body and even the background of the pedestal reflect the omnipresent dynamism.

Mountains and Seas Pen Holder

The Mountains and Seas Pen Holder elegantly captures the essence of Chinese traditional culture, merging historical elements from the Han and Tang dynasties with mystical symbolism. Its design features a Chinese drum shape adorned with an animal face and a Han Dynasty dragon, overlaid with gold inlaid silver from the Warring States period. Below, two Tang Dynasty dragons rise from the waves, encircling a mountain peak, symbolizing the deep reverence for nature and rich imagination found in Chinese history.

Though small, the pen holder showcases these great cultural aspect. Zhelong Xu created this work to interpret the common pursuit he shares with Xencelabs: to create the extraordinary, making each pen stroke divine.

The Xencelabs Pen Displays 24 and 16 Bundle also come with a full range of accessories, including Quick Keys (shortcut remote control), stand, and portable pen case, which enables me to always be efficient and flexible in my creations.

The Xencelabs Pen Display 24 is my workhorse in the studio, providing the ultimate visual experience and creative space. The Xencelabs Pen Display 16 is my go-to travel companion, portable and powerful. The combination of the two fulfills my creative needs in different settings.

My favorite thing about the Xencelabs Pen Displays are the two pens that came with them. The Thin Pen feels comfortable and natural in my hand, and I use it a lot for sculpting first drafts and medium molds. The 3 Button Pen is an indispensable tool for me in a variety of 3D software. For example, when I’m sculpting tall models in ZBrush, I use the pen’s buttons to zoom in as much as possible for fine detail sculpting.
