If you’re looking for one of these, just buy it, you won’t be disappointed. I animate in Maya and After Effects, and spend lots of time framing through video. The wheel controller is fantastic, no more hitting keys a million times to precisely frame through my work. I was disappointed when Wacom removed the button screens from their pro tablets, but this controller is the best replacement I can imagine, as it fixes all the shortcomings of Wacom’s offering, especially since it’s separate from anything else. I love using this with my mouse as well. It fits in your hand like a small smartphone. The screen makes this better than any competing controller, because you never have to waste time memorizing which button you programmed where. No more digging through a driver all day just for this basic info, and there are more options, organized very nicely, automatically updating with each app I swap through. The color customization is great, battery life is excellent, and it works flawlessly plugged into a usb 2.0 hub. Oh, and the case, cord, and adapter are quality touches. I love the wheel! I thought the wheel on my Intuos 4 was nice, but it’s a touch wheel that doesn’t physically rotate. This xcense wheel is the perfect size and tactility, and glides smoothly with a premium feel. In addition to the screen, the buttons have different physical indentations, which really help when you’re not looking at it. The back is covered in a nice grippy rubber finish, so it won’t slide around. And surprise, it’s a perfect remote if you use your pc to watch tv! I use Windows 10, several Wacom tablets, a 3D Connection space mouse, and a gmmk pro keyboard. These all need their own drivers and are all known for bugs, but this Xcence controller has worked smoothly with everything! Again, less time fixing tools, more time working. If you’re still reading this, you really should just buy it.
